On the last day of June 2005, crowds of guests from various localities of Lithuania, from the countries of Latvia, Czechia, Slovakia and Belarus arrived to congratulate JSK "Maltosa" on the opening day event.

In respect of the import and export balance of the country's food produce, the agricultural minister Kazimiera Prunskienė regretted to state that, despite Lithuania's celebrity for high quality beer, the country imports malt, one of the most important raw materials for beer production, as if being unable to produce it within the country. Having started the enterprise running, the gap is being eliminated. The enterprise has drawn the second breath in exhibiting new quality, modern production and cooperation with business partners from EU countries.
At the opening day festival of JSK "Maltosa" malt factory, the agricultural minister congratulated the company and wished good luck in expanding Lithuanian beer production without enhancing alcohol consumption in Lithuania. In conclusion, the minister was put into a dilemma, ‘I do not know whom I should present with this honourable mention medal of the Ministry of Agriculture: the investors or the executives who have ministered to the present condition of the enterprise. It rests with the enterprise to decide.'

The ministry deputies, the members of Lithuania's grain processing association and brewers hailed praises for the enterprise holder, the Manager and all the people who contributed to the erection of the second malt factory in Lithuania.

Švenčionys district mayor Vytautas Vigelis congratulated the enterprise, wishing it expansive markets, and said, ‘The former grain buying plant has gone into quite successful liquidation: promising investors have come, the buildings have been reconstructed and the prosperity has run high, but the most important change has been the introduction of new production and new workplaces. The town of Švenčionėliai has obtained pure and refreshing water. I hope Švenčionėliai will enlist novel investments and the town will be equipped with modern purificatory facilities, whereas the resurrection of the grain processing enterprise will induce a similar process in other parts of the city as well.'

The manager of JSK "Agrodema" Juozas Mikštas, participant in the festival, observed, ‘It is a pleasure to witness the restoration of the native town, not its' destruction, and to watch the revival of enterprises. Gediminas, the Duke, saw a wolf in his dream and built Gediminas Castle. Vilius Kaikaris saw a wolf in his dream and established UAB "Šiaurės vilkas" ("Northern Wolf"). I expect JSK "Maltosa" will become as famous and well-known as Gediminas Castle.'

V.Kaikaris, the enterprise Manager and the General Manager of the enterprise holder "Šiaurės vilkas", thanked everybody for their toil and efforts in the course of reconstructing, implementing and getting the enterprise ready for exploitation and for grounding the employers in manufacturing high quality production. The festival hosts stayed certain that a symbolic bolt and a cannon, presented to them by Zigmantas Ročys, the General Manager of the construction general contractor UAB "Ortitas", would aid them in securing and protecting the property of the enterprise.
