The joint-stock company "Maltosa" was established in December 2001. In 2002, the business plan "Reorientation of grain processing company towards malt production" was prepared, and the modernisation of the enterprise was begun.

All the enterprise is fully automated and controlled by operators from the central desk. The programme we utilise controls the work of all technological lines and ensures high quality of the product. In order to guarantee product quality, the enterprise laboratory was reconstructed and supplied with equipment. Beside modern devices of quality analysis, the laboratory boasts a micro malt production system, which allows to analyse and program the prospective technological process and provides possibilities to manufacture high-quality products from malt barley of different breeds.

Presently, the enterprise makes high-quality light malt, which finds willing customers in Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Moldovan, Polish beer brewers. The enterprise plans to produce about 22 thousand tonnes of malt this year, using its productive capacity to full extent.
